Freshwater crab breeding

For the best breeding, separate all the crab or group by type

Crab eating habit

Generally, crab need to eat 10-20% of its body weight and like to eat strong smell and entire food

It like to eat on land.

Even the environment is good

It is unsure crab need to eat food every day.
Sometime is because crab stored the food in the body or prepare to change the cover.

Crab change cover

Normally, crab change cover around 5 minutes otherwise may lead to death. But the total process need three days to complete.

Firstly is to change cover by leaving from the old cover. (Successful process with freshwater is critical)
Then the new cover is very soft just like soft sweets and it need around 1 day become harder,

In day two, it will search for food to recover the energy and growth.
In day three, you will find it become bigger obviously.

Summary

Freshwater crab is hard to pet and breed. Because they need to change the cover from time to time. And every time they change it, if the condition change, they may die. Also, they must breed in certain condition, e.g. most of it may follow the tidal. So it may not easy to let it breed.
